Built on the Coast of Maine
We founded Cove & Timber Goods out of our workshop in Portland after growing tired of disposable home items and thin apparel that disintegrated after a single season. The market was flooded with synthetic fabrics, paraffin-based candles, and bonded leather pet products that tore under the slightest pressure.
We chose a different path: working directly with raw, renewable materials and assembling items in deliberate, small batches. Every yard of canvas is cut straight along the grain, our candles are hand-poured in four-pound pans, and our dog accessories are riveted with solid sand-cast brass that never chips or snaps.
By operating our own studio and shipping directly to your home, we keep our process completely transparent. There are no corporate middlemen or marketing tricks here, just honest craftsmanship, careful bench checks, and responsible customer support from our team in Maine.
Material Honesty
We use pure cotton, true vegetable-tanned hides, and clean seed oils without synthetic fillers or petrochemical shortcuts.
Tactile Longevity
Our items are built to be handled every day, softening with wear and developing character over years of utility.
Workshop Accountability
We answer our own customer emails and inspect every parcel right here in Portland before the postal driver arrives.
Our Simple Quality Standard
We inspect every seam, wick, bottle seal, and clasp manually before it gets wrapped in kraft paper. If an item does not meet our personal standard on the bench, it does not leave the workshop.
